About Us


Deviate has been running since 2002. After starting out small-scale, Lego-size in East London, it moved onto Newcastle for three years; taking up residency at the famous World Headquarters club.

Today it hosts events in Newcastle, London and Brighton with monthly residencies at The Scala and Digital Brighton. Deviate has also performed at Lake of Stars in Malawi, hosted a tent at The Secret Garden Party in the UK. In their spare time the team like to raise funds for The White Ribbon Alliance with the Convoy to Cape Town.

Plastician
(Terrorhythm/Rinse/Radio 1/Rephlex)

Chris Reed, also known as Plastician (formerly Plasticman), is a grime and also dubstep DJ and producer from Thornton Heath in the London borough of Croydon. Plastician has played a role in the popularity of the genre thanks to his participation in the Rephlex Grime compilations, his primetime pirate radio shows and his recent BBC Radio 1 Residency slot. In addition to his worldwide DJ schedule, Plastician has released records on labels such as Rephlex Records, Soulja, ROAD, Slimzos, A.R.M.Y. and Southside Dubstars. His musical style connects east London grime to the south London dubstep scenes. Plastician also runs his own label; Terrorythm Recordings. He has a passionate love of chicken and can often be found in south London eateries, Morley's and Mazzi.
